Growing up, investments were always about money, I mean they mostly still are. But when you’re into your personal growth journey you begin to realize there are a lot of things that matter more.
Things that without them the money would not matter anymore because when you have that money, you look at the other things you don’t have.
The other things that you take for granted will eventually catch up to you and I hope that it won’t be too late for you.
Investment: If you want to get richer, invest your time and money.
The same can be said if you want happiness, health, love, safety, success, you have to invest both your time and money in the least on things that will produce that outcome.
And just like normal investments, your efforts may fail, but that’s a price you have to pay to get a greater ROI (Return On Investment)
Why money should not be your only investment
What if I tell you, years from now, even months, you can have all the money, all the success and still not be happy simply because you concentrated on one materialistic thing which when chased could suck the happiness and life out of you.
You should, however, still invest your money for money. Money is good okay? You get to buy a lot of cool shit. But keep in mind that that wouldn’t be the only investment you’ll make.
I’m sure money is not the most important thing even to you, you know that already, there’s your health, your time, your family, your happiness, and most importantly you.
If you have these things, money wouldn’t matter that much, its good, but you’ll be happy and contented and then you’ll actually get to plan and get whatever amount of money you can get without losing the most important things in your life.
Investing in these things below are crucial, when you don’t have them it’s terrible, your life would become miserable because you didn’t realize how important they are, you took them for granted. That’s what we as humans do.
Where you will stand and what new things you will be capable of doing tomorrow will largely depend on what you do to improve yourself today.
Without working on ourselves and improving ourselves every day, it would be unrealistic for us to expect a much different future from the one we have right now, it would not be possible to be better tomorrow if we don’t do things that will make tour future better.
That is why YOU are the most important thing you can place your time and money on. When you spend money and time on the things that matter most to you, your ROI is better and more long-lasting. Money is great when you have it, but it’s temporary.
Just keep in mind that I don’t mean spending money on things that give short-lived pleasure or pampering yourself, No. these are serious things you have to give serious attention to.
6 Powerful Ways to Invest In Yourself Now That Will Change your life
1. Your health:
You can work for anything in life, get anything you want, but if you don’t live long enough to see it, then what’s the point?
When you invest in your health, you exercise, eat healthily, go to the gym, do yoga, meditate. Basically, anything that will improve your overall wellness, the benefits are uncountable.
Health is wealth. And prevention is better than cure, remember the last time you were so sick you couldn’t do anything, imagine being in that sick state for weeks, months, or years. When you are sick you won’t be able to do anything productive, anything to make your life better.
Even if you had everything you wanted, you wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.
When you focus on improving your health, a lot of things feel better and look better, it may not seem like a big deal if you’re young, but unless you start now, every day is a day too late.
2. Your happiness:
Happiness is the most important feeling in your life. When you are happy, you see the world differently. Everything looks better, smells better and feels better. When you are happy, you radiate happiness and better things happen to you.
When you lose that happiness, you would not look forward to anything and therefore will not do anything, you’ll just be a miserable shadow. And even though it may seem that you have to achieve your goals or get someone or something in your life.
It’s not, you chose to be happy, you just BE happy.
Take some time every day to focus it on doing something that will make you happy. You don’t even have to spend money, but if you have to, do that. It’ll be the best thing you ever have.
Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.
